What type of practice is LakeshoreMD

LakeshoreMD is a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, family medicine practice. LakeshoreMD provides high quality, compassionate, and personalized care that is affordable and accessible. As a DPC practice, we do not accept or participate in any private or government health plans. We eliminate interference by insurance companies and other outside interests so our only focus is the relationship between your primary care physician and you.

We do not accept or bill health insurance. Instead, patients pay a monthly fee directly to LakeshoreMD. This means no more co-pays or unexpected charges. All of your acute and routine primary care office visits are included in your membership fee. We include direct access to your physician through office visits, virtual visits, text messaging, phone calls, and email. We also include other amenities such as the convenience of discounted labs and wholesale generic medications, which will often cost patients less than the copay alone if purchased through insurance.
